TODAY is a day of prayer for the unemployed. Please remember in your prayers all those who are unable to find employment.

There will be an appeal this weekend on behalf of the Cabrini Children’s Society who celebrate their 125th Anniversary this year. Cabrini provides support and care to some of the most vulnerable children and young people in our community. Donation envelopes are available at the back of the church.

REDSHIRTS INVITATION 2012 The Diocesan Youth Service Group (Lourdes) is now inviting applications from young people from within the Diocese to join the Redshirts 2012. All applicants should be in school years 10 or 11 (or equivalent age) and available for the duration of the pilgrimage – Wednesday 25th July to Friday 3rd August 2012. LATIN MASS Traditional Latin Mass at St Joseph’s, Guildford (GU1 4AZ) today, 19th February at 3pm, celebrated in the older form of the Roman Rite. Booklets with the prayers and readings are available. Refreshments served after Mass – all are most welcome.

CATHOLIC INTERNET RADIO Heart Gives Unto Heart (HGUH) Catholic Internet Radio(www.heartgivesuntoheart.co.uk) to be based at St John’s Seminary, Wonersh, Guildford. It is hoped that the radio will start broadcasting in late Spring. A wide mix of programmes is planned to appeal to everyone – all kinds of music, discussions, interviews, a regular Catholic news digest, masses, prayers, features, plays and much much more. ELIZABETH PURSEY RIP The Requiem Mass for the late Elizabeth Pursey RIP will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows next Thursday 16th February at 12 Noon, followed by internment in the Cemetery. Please remember Elizabeth and her family in your prayers.

OUR LADY OF LOURDES: 11TH FEBRUARY WORLD DAY OF PRAYER FOR THE SICK There will be a ‘Mass of Healing’ at 10.30am at Our Lady of Sorrows; hopefully as many of you as possible will take this opportunity to receive the special grace and blessing of being anointed with Holy Oils during Mass. We all need healing, be it of body, mind or spirit. While you may not be physically unwell it is possible that you need healing of a memory, a hurt, a sorrow, anger etc. Please do make every effort to attend.

ADULT FORMATION There will be a talk given by Father Bruno Witchalls in the Parish Hall at Our Lady of Sorrows on Monday 13th February – 7.45pm for an 8pm start. The topic has yet to be announced. All are welcome.

SOUND SYSTEM Following some minor problems with our sound system we have arranged for it to be ‘checked out’ and serviced to ensure it is working correctly.

SPRAY PAINT ON THE GROUND Following some recent survey work you may notice some spray paint on the ground. This paint is water based and will disappear over the next few weeks. It is nothing to worry about.
